Dear esteemed donor,
Commitment to humanity in Ramadan
Ramadan greetings from Yayasan Kemanusiaan Muslim Aid Malaysia.
The holy month of Ramadan is the month where every deed is multiplied with regards to obedience and faith. The meanings of mercy and social solidarity in this month are manifested among all Muslims as well. Ramadan is now just around the corner, while we are experiencing an economic downturn, which had led to an increase in poverty and unemployment among us.
Moreover, this deteriorating economic wellbeing came along with the widespread of the Coronavirus pandemic that has struck almost all countries in the world today. Closing of borders, isolation and quarantine, and the closure of businesses have negatively affected the lives of the poorest and marginalised families and daily wage earners.
The reward in Ramadan is great. And here we are launching the 14th edition of our annual Fast2Feed programme with the following packages:
Last year, we had delivered Ramadan aid to 2,000 families (approximate 10,000 beneficiaries) all over Malaysia, at 23 locations. Following the SOP of MCO imposed by the government of Malaysia, we will not organise public iftar as per usual. Instead we will concentrate on distribution of goods and gifts only.
We are hopeful that this year’s campaign will witness your generous contributions, just like every season, asking Allah SWT to allow all of us to live to witness the holy month of Ramadan, and to help us perform the obedience and righteous deeds to Him.
