Child Abuse Bystander Training, National University of Malaysia (UKM)
In November 2024, Muslim Aid Malaysia collaborated with Child Abuse Community Training (Child A.C.T) conducted an impactful talk on child abuse bystander intervention at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), attended by 30 engaged students from various faculties. The session aimed to raise awareness about the alarming prevalence and impact of child abuse in Malaysia and beyond. In addition to highlighting different forms of abuse physical, emotional, sexual, and neglect the talk introduced a new approach to bystander intervention, encouraging students to recognise warning signs and respond safely and effectively.
