Our Vision & Mission

Muslim Aid was founded with a simple yet powerful belief that every life matters and helping those in need is not just a duty but an act of faith.

Born out of compassion and driven by the principles of Islam, Muslim Aid started as a small group of individuals determined to respond to the suffering they saw around the world. From natural disasters to humanitarian crises, they knew that action was needed, not just words.

Our Story

Muslim Aid Malaysia was established in 2008 with a mission to serve humanity through sustainable development, emergency relief, and poverty alleviation in alignment with Islamic principles. As of 2025, we have taken a significant step forward by transitioning into a Shariah compliant foundation under the Labuan Financial Services Authority (LOFSA). This transformation ensures that all funds and donations are managed in strict compliance with Shariah law, upholding transparency, accountability, and integrity in every aspect of our operations.

The shift to a Shariah-compliant foundation was necessary to strengthen trust with our donors and beneficiaries, ensuring that charitable contributions are utilised ethically and in accordance with Islamic values. By adopting a regulated framework under LOFSA, we reinforce our commitment to financial accountability, responsible governance, and ethical stewardship. This change also enhances our ability to implement sustainable projects while adhering to Islamic finance principles, such as avoiding interest (riba) and promoting equitable wealth distribution.

Muslim Aid Malaysia remains dedicated to empowering communities, alleviating suffering, and fostering long term development all while maintaining the highest standards of Shariah compliance. Our journey reflects our unwavering commitment to serving with compassion, honesty, and excellence in the spirit of Islam.
