Home is a usually a peaceful abode where people feel secure and live in harmony. This is not the case with the Rohingyas now. The inherent issues need to be resolved but looking at the current situation, it’s not likely to happen anytime very soon.
In the meantime, Rohingyas are stateless and have nowhere to go. They suffer on a daily basis and constantly live in fear. Children and women are not spared. They are killed, maimed and those who are still alive suffer from severe malnutrition. Don’t even mention education.
Our field office in Myanmar is currently monitoring the situation while waiting for authorities to let us enter the affected areas. On the other side of the border, our Bangladesh field office is also on the alert. There is a lot of work to be done once it is permissible for us to enter the area.
Help us reach them.
